Review: Kafka on the Shore

Kafka on the ShoreKafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami

Half through the book, I knew I would give this five stars. The more I drawn to the story, the more I thought about two threads intertwined as the pages turn, and reach one big conclusion at the end. Although the story (kind of) involves two character archetypes I kind of hate: Mary Sue (for the main character) and Manic Pixie Dream Girl (I don’t know if it’s true, but I feel it is), I finished it in only a few days. The storytelling is amazing, it didn’t make me bored at all. Absolute page-turner.
