Food Porn

Hello,

This Khanduri made my visit to campus not really fruitless since I don’t have any classes on Friday. It is kind of Aceh food festival but I think it’s more than that because there was a stage on Campus Center Basketball Field. We tried roti cane kari (curry cane bread), roti cane manis (sweet cane bread), mie Aceh (Aceh noodle), teh tarik (tarik tea), and martabak (?). And like every girls around the earth, we have to take a photo with/of the food before eating.

The girls and their appetites.

p.s. The Curry Cane Bread was REALLY good!

Kalo ini pesanan saya Fish and Chips (Rp38000 kalo ga salah). Porsinya super buanyaaaaak sekali. Enak banget pula ditambah dengan mayonesnya. Kenyaaaang :9 Recommended!

Spaghetti Andhari (ga tau nama sebenarnya apaan haha)

Summer Cake dari WPBites kalo ga salah sekitar 35ribu. Rasanya semacam bubble gum gitu. Unik dan dilengkapi dengan cream cheese yang selalu bikin semua kue terasa lebih lezat.

Sekian dulu foto-foto pornonya.

Selamat makan!

N, harusnya ngerjain TA.

I went to Keuken last 30th of September with my fellows. It is the third Keuken (second was in Saparua, the first.. umm.. let me google it.. oh yes, it was in Cikapundung!) and the second I visited. “Keuken” is a Dutch word means “kitchen”. Funny, I thought it was a Sundanese word because it has “eu” in the word.

Keuken is a food festival. No, the food and beverages there are not cheap. But they offer something you can not always found in ordinary food festivals. Here are some photos from Marchy, Ari, and Aul’s cameras. Some of them taken by them and some of them by me.

Chef Harada, my father’s lost twin brother. Lol. He is so funny.

(only) the girls

To get the maximum benefit, the girls and I shared our menu. So I get many food and beverages with lower price. Some bits of the food I remember: red velvet cake, lemonade, burritos, bola ketan, es kering, keripik kribo, mie merapi for about 40.000 rupiahs…………… hahahahaha. Lucky the girls want to share their food together.

The event was SO CROWDED and the tables was full. It is lucky to get one table (finally) for us. It was so hard to walk and see the tenants. I hope the next event will be better/

Can’t wait for the next event!

Last night I went dinner with my junior high friends. I am lucky I still have a very good relationship with them, since I never see anyone still keeping contact with their junior high friends.

It was my first Saturday night ever. Usually, I was home, seeing updates from social medias (how pathetic).

We met at Hartwood. I was craving a cake but unfortunately it was sold out when I came. So I ordered a chocolate cake. Fellyn told me to take a photo of my dinner before I ate them so this photo is what I ate last night. I am a “Eat it, not tweet it”ism but I broke my own law only for that night. I forgot the name, it has Alfredo in its name. Image

It was the biggest expense I ever had for a dinner (well Progo reastaurants are pricey!), but my tummy was so full in the end of the meeting. Cake, ice tea, and this Alfredo.

It was nice to see my friends. I really love you all :D

Well, it’s kind of random. I caught the glimpse of the banners on my way home Friday night, saw the Oreo page on Saturday morning, asked friends about it and they agreed, and BAM! I was on Oreo Fun Carnival this evening.

Oreo has always been my favorite cookies. It is not really sweet but still really delicious. In Indonesia, Oreo is on their peak of popularity because their commercials featured the cutest kid ever, Afiqa. This carnival is to celebrate their 100th anniversary! Wow, so old.

My friends and I arrived at Gasibu at 4 pm. Here are some photos taken from my cell phone with so-called effects.

The picture above is Oreo Fun Factory (you don’t say! haha) It was like a miniature of oreo factory. The factory itself is just using half of the tent.. A bit disappointing.

One of the features on fun factory. We watched very short movie, maybe it was called “To The Moon” since the waiter there asks us “Wanna go to the moon, ladies?” when we looked at the vehicle.

Since the Oreo Fun Carnival are primarily for kids and family, we can’t get our hopes too high. At first, I thought we can get many food with Oreo on this event. Such as Oreo cheesecake, Oreo cupcake, Oreo ice cream, and many more. Well, they don’t even have that… There were only playground for kids and we have to buy “passport” before we could ride them.

There was also a photo booth only for Rp10.000,00 for a piece of photo. Make sure you are not on the edge of the photo so the frame won’t cover you! Hahahaha.

What a day. I hope when this event held tomorrow, it will be much better.

After knowing it in Baking Life game.. After those “I’ve found the best red velvet cake in Bandung!”, “I’m craving for red velvet cake now :9”, “Oh my, this blablabla red velvet cupcakes is sooooooooo delicious”, etc etc tweets, which make me very curious about that cake.. After days of imagining the flavor of the cake.. After doing some little research (please read it as googling) about the appearance and the recipe..

Finally I have had my first bite to this famous cake. Red Velvet Cake.

My friends and I bought it from Butter Creme Cupcakes Rp 72,000 (or Rp 72 if the denomination plan succeed) for 6 red velvet cupcakes. It was small, smaller than my palm.

While I was driving, my friends had tasted it first and (they all haven’t tasted any red velvet before) they think it was very delicious. So I drove my way home with excitement to let it melt in my tongue. I wanted to share this with my family. But something happened and my cupcake fell in the box for unknown reason..

Then I saved those remaining cream cheese.. and took a picture of it. Hahaha.

And it was DELICIOUS. HEAVENLY.

The cake wasn’t like what I thought it will be, but it does taste good with cream cheese. I gave it some to my mom so she could make one someday :p

So yeah, thanks to my friends so I could get the cupcake cheaper (should be Rp 15,000 if you bought one only) and the impulsive journey to red velvet cake! Lol.
